Biographical Info

Richard Hong has over thirty years in the financial services industry with experience in branch management, marketing management, sales and service management, portfolio management, and commercial banking. He has been with California Bank and Trust since 1999 and has been First Vice President and Albany Branch Manager for California Bank and Trust since 2010. There, he oversees the Albany office regarding operations, sales and regulatory compliance. In this role, he develops and implements programs to maximize branch profitability, growth in loan/deposit balances, minimize risk, and assure excellent customer service.

Prior to his current role at California Bank and Trust, he spent nine years as the Vice President and Hayward Branch Manager, and two years as Vice President and Sales & Service Manager for the San Francisco Region. Mr. Hong was previously Vice President, Branch Manager and Cluster Manager for Citibank, where he oversaw six branch offices in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Mr. Hong is an active community volunteer with extensive experience on nonprofit Boards. He is a past board member of the Solano Avenue Merchants Association, an Allied member of California Society of Pediatric Dentists and a member of the Working Committee for Sentinel Node Oncology Foundation. He also served two terms as Chairperson of the Chabot College Foundation, is a past Board Member of Spectrum Community Services and was an Honorary Board Member of the Eden Township JACL.

Mr. Hong graduated with a B.B.A. in Marketing from San Francisco State University and attended University of California, Berkeley at the undergraduate level.
