Biographical Info
Carlos previously served as Healthy Richmond’s Project Manager for Resident Leadership since 2019, where he supported recruiting, training and mobilizing residents in the Richmond community to lead campaigns for health access, education equity and economic justice to impact key systems in West Contra Costa. Prior to that, he held positions at Richmond-based organizations RYSE Youth Center and Urban Tilth, where he participated in activities to promote civic engagement with youth and adults.
In addition to the work described above, where communications and navigating technology for remote work was a key component of his responsibilities, Carlos brings wonderful communications skills and experience to RCF,. He double-majored in Film & Digital Media and History at UC Santa Cruz, which shaped his outlook on the role of history in our work as well as how to adapt to the universe of new technology. He is also passionate about the intersection of art and technology, and has worked on a number of art projects including a mural at Davis Park, music videos, short documentary videos and short films, music and sound mixing, graphics designs, logos for startup companies, business cards, posters and signage, and wide-range of social media platforms.
