Program Director, Equity for Black Women and Girls
Biographical Info
Taylor is excited about joining the RCF Connects Team as the Program Director for Equity for Black Women and Girls. As a young Black woman, Taylor is committed to empowering and uplifting Black women of all ages. She believes it is essential to learn from other Black women who have come before her. She looks forward to exchanging experiences, struggles, and obstacles to understand how to better the experiences of Black women in Contra Costa County for generations to come.
Before joining RCF, Taylor was with Lift Up Contra Costa for four years, serving as the Projects Manager. During her time at LUCC, Taylor has put on numerous events in which like-minded organizations and individuals were able to discuss ways to enrich Contra Costa County. She is committed to the mission and values of Lift Up Contra Costa. She is committed to helping marginalized voices throughout CoCo County, especially those in East County.
Taylor is an asset to Contra Costa County as she is a third-generation resident of the East County city of Pittsburg. She is also on the Pittsburg School Board. Taylor is passionate about helping the Black and Brown youth in low-income communities. She received her Master’s in Education with a concentration on Equity and Social Justice in 2022 and Bachelor’s degree in Sociology at San Francisco State University in 2021.
