Restoring Neighborhoods
Capital investments in neighborhoods change the physical environment from one of neglect to one of community, strength and vibrancy. Community development naturally supports the other pillars, such as education, health and safety. The physical environment that Richmond Community Foundation strives to improve includes parks and recreation centers, landscaping and lighting, schools, and housing stock. Our community development services are based on our partnerships, participation, inclusion, and empowerment.
Through our support of SparkPoint, Ensuring Opportunity, NURVE, the Richmond Housing Renovation Program, and many other nonprofits, government agencies, individuals, and businesses, we hope to improve Richmond and Contra Costa County’s physical environment, and develop its many wonderful communities.
